Their gardens were destroyed in the War of the Last Alliance. What is it to survive and bear oneself a journey to the safe shores of Valinor without your lost love?...it is a greater sadness that is not lost even through great spans of time.
Some of us walk in the ancient footprints...to far away lands...perhaps to find safety, perhaps because we are lost.
Original watercolor on 150lb cold press cotton paper. Hand blended pulverized pearl and 24kt gold.
Beautiful. In thumb size, I thought the moon was being held up between it's limb/arms. I love the texture, the colors, the mood, everything! Absolutely beautiful!

Beautiful. This reminds me of ancient Japanese drawings, with things like a single old tree as the subject. Now I am in doubt - Chinese? Japanese? I wish I knew more about these things...
Anyway, well done!

yes...I was hoping to suggest a burden by placing her shoulders close to the moon....you are always so keen to pick up on things like this. I miss your comments. Thanks for the fav and for your continued support.
It's a good painting but I wish the moon was a little brighter. Other then that I enjoyed this piece.

yeah....it actually is much brighter, but painted with naples yellow and pulverized pearl. The pic I took were either way washed out and crazy white or darker like this. Any tips on photographing reflective media?
I try to use sunlight as much as I can. So far it's given me the best lighting. I have flash from the camera but hate to use it. It depends on your lighting. More yellow type light can distort some of the color when you take a picture. So whiter light usually helps. Try and take a photo in different light. Then you'll know what might look better.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
